Putting a New Uke through his paces, initiating 'Kohai' Wayne Barlow
After filiming the Yellow - Green Belt Junior and 3rd Kyu Adult Syllabus videos on Monday 23rd and Tuesday 24th of January, Wayne decided to put his Ukemin to the test with some strong technique. I gave him everything I could to the limit of what I felt was safe for him, but make no mistake without good Ukemi understanding this would severly hurt and cause injury, even on mats. This is testament to the efforts Wayne has made to learn the art of Ukemi as he is only 3- months into his training at this point, during which he had 3 weeks out where he was away. Fantastic effort Wayne, just don't lean back when in Hanmi ;-)
